GARDNER – Donna L. Pfersich, 44, of 57 Jackson Hill Road, Gardner unexpectedly passed away Friday, April 6, 2012.  She passed peacefully with family by her side in UMass Memorial Hospital – University Campus, Worcester.  A lifetime spent in Gardner, she was born on May 23, 1967, the daughter of James G. and Nancy A. (Burnyshafski) Pfersich.  She graduated from Gardner High School in 1985 known as a strong leader and skilled player on the girl’s basketball team.   And while at Gardner High she developed deep and meaningful friendships that would last a lifetime.   She worked as a Customer Service Representative for the Insurance Place in Fitchburg.  She enjoyed camping and had special times in recent years in Vermont with her group of friends, their kids and dogs.  Summers in Maine have been special to her since childhood vacations with her family.  She has continued this tradition in her adult life with her close friends and created wonderful memories of lobsters, sun and fun on the same beaches.  She was a great bargain shopper and also loved shopping for Primitive Americana Decor for her home.  Her love and caring for her longtime companion golden retriever, Lucky, her new golden puppy, Sadie and her cat, Manny took up much of her time.    She leaves her parents, James and Nancy Pfersich of Gardner; her sister, Terri A. Danaher and her husband William of Cotuit; her long time companion, Jason Morgan and his son Richard of Gardner, her Aunt and Uncle, Johanna and James Sand and their children Kenneth and Katie.  She also leaves some loyal and caring life long friends that cherish the times spent her.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church 166 Cross St., Gardner.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner.   Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in her memory to the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester;  In Donna's honor directed to the  Heart and Vascular Center of Excelence.  www.umassmemorial.org/ways-to-give.   To sign the online guest book please visit www.poliksfuneralhome.com.
