Doralice (Joly) Forsyth

Doralice Forsyth Athol – Doralice (Joly) Forsyth, 87, formerly of 633 Pinedale Avenue, died Friday, November 04, 2011 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester. She was born in Royalston, Massachusetts, June 22, 1924, the daughter of William C. and Diana (Savoie) Joly. Doralice grew up and has lived in Athol all of her life and for the past several years has resided at Broadview Assisted Living in Winchendon. She worked for the L.S. Starrett Company for 35 years, retiring as an inspector. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church and the Golden Agers Club. Doralice enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, also traveling to several countries. Her husband of 54 years, Kenneth Forsyth died in 2003. She leaves four brothers; Francis and Robert Joly of Athol, Henry Joly of Duncansville, PA and Omer Joly of Lompoc, CA; two sisters, Rita Raymond of Sun Lakes, AZ and Vicky Janik of Athol and many nieces and nephews. Doralice was one of 14 children and was predeceased by seven brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol with burial following at Silver Lake Cemetery. Those planning to attend the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in Doralice’s name to: Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol, MA 01331.
