GARDNER - Doris M. (Caouette) Miller, 81 of 12 Maynard St., Gardner, died Sunday, January 2, 2011 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Methuen, on June 12, 1929, the daughter of the late Francis and the late Adeline (McCarthy) Caouette. Mrs. Miller graduated from Leominster High School with the class of 1947. She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. She worked for the former Thayer Company in Gardner for twelve years, was the co-owner of Miller's Garage for twenty-five years and was an intake worker for the New England Farm Workers Association in Fitchburg for eighteen years. She loved to vacation and travel to Hampton Beach, Dennis Port, Foxwoods and drive to Florida. Her most precious time was spent with her family. She leaves her husband of 62 years: Louis G. Miller, one daughter: Patricia A Gelsomini and her husband Ricci J. of Winchendon; two sons: Ronald L. Miller and his wife Celeste of Gardner, Michael J. Miller of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren: Stephen Miller, Shelley McCaie, Lynn C. McAvene and Todd M. Constantine; and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
