Doris Marie Pollock, our mother, has passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 96 at the Life Care Center.
She was born March 31st, 1921 here in Leominster, Massachusetts to the late Adelard and Marie Cormier and lived here in Leominster her entire life. While working as a machine operator at the Commonwealth Plastic Company and Tilton and Cook Company, she raised us three children and was wife to the late William Pollock. Mom retired in 1983 and was a member of the Leominster Senior Center. She also enjoyed services at St. Cecilia’s Parish. Mom loved traveling and bowling with Dad and playing cards with the whole family.
Our beloved mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, aunt and friend, who was alternately know as Marie, Doris, Dot, Mommy, Mom, Auntie, Grams and Grammy, was the sweetest women in the world. She always showed love to everyone she encountered. She was caring and beautiful inside and out. She loved life, her family, and her friends. She was a woman of boundless energy and a strong sense of servitude. We can remember her working tirelessly from the time we where young until the time we had families and she had grandchildren to also shower her love upon.
Mom is survived by the three of us, Judy Phelps, Tom Pollock and David Pollock. She is also survived by her son-in-law James Phelps, her daughter-in-law Priscilla Pollock, her seven grandchildren, Michael Pollock and his wife Krystal, Jason Phelps, Matt Pollock, Andrew Pollock, Johnathan Pollock, Ryan Pollock, and Sean Pollock as well as many other family members, nieces and nephews. We all, will miss her greatly.
This family, and her role as mother and grandmother, aunt and friend, was the most important thing to Mom. This is where she drew her strength and left her legacy. Being with her family was what Doris enjoyed most of all.
She is now in the arms of our blessed Lord, talking and walking with her loved ones, like her parents, brothers Joseph and Edgar Cormier and her sisters Lucille Dauphinais, Georgette Rainville, and Loretta Cormier as well as our father, William Pollock, who proceeded her home. Jesus is taking care of her in the warmth of his love.
