Doris D. Stone

GARDNER - Doris D. Stone, 90 of 58 Chapman Park, Gardner, died Friday, January 23, 2009 in the loving care of Wachusett Manor, Gardner. She was born in Greece,on July 22, 1918. Doris grew up in Gardner and was educated in Gardner. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, she enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, bird watching, and she loved to walk. She leaves two sons, William E. Stone of Gardner, Robert E. Stone of Athol; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Earl Stone and by her daughter, Pearl D. Greenwood who died in 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 at 11:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery will be at a later date. A calling hour will be held Monday, January 26, 2009 from 9 - 10:30 a.m. in the Mack Funeral Home 91 Vernon Street, Gardner.
