ATHOL- Dorothy A. Cormier, 84, of Athol, died peacefully Saturday, April 16, after an illness.
Dorothy was born February 10, 1932, in Orange, the daughter of the late Ernest A. and Doris (Deane) Cormier. She graduated from Orange High School in 1949. Dorothy was a secretary to the president at Franklin Medical Center for many years before her retirement.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church. She adored her cats, loved reading, music, dancing. She also taught tap dancing for many years.
She leaves her first cousin, Adele Madsen of Gardner; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Cormier of TN; many cousins including, Adele Mehr of Orange, Lydia Gibb of CT, and Rebecca Robinson of NH, Jay, Donn and Fred Deane of Orange.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Richard Cormier.
The funeral Mass is Friday, April 22, at 11:00 A.M. At St. Mary's Church, 19 Congress St. Orange. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
