Phillipston – Dorothy Hope (Smith) Hiscock, 88, of Okeechobee, FL passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. Born on January 19, 1930 in Phillipston, MA to Frederick W. Smith and Lena E. (Dunican) Smith, Dorothy grew up and lived in Phillipston for sixty years and has resided in Florida since 1990. She was a homemaker and had also worked in factories for several years including the Union Twist Drill for seventeen years. Dorothy attended the New Testament Baptist Church of Okeechobee, FL, was a member of the Ladies Auxillary of the American Legion Unit #64, and served as president and secretary during her membership. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting, making puzzles and reading. Dorothy was predeceased by daughter; Penny M. Chaisson, son; Gary Hiscock, grandson; Dale Rose, sisters; Madelyn Cote, Evelyn Trevors, Jo-Ann Jones, and Priscilla Kletter. She is survived by, grandchildren; Melanie E. Justus of Indiana, Allison H. Tindall of Florida and Joshua Hiscock of Virginia, great grandchildren; Alson and Stephen Chaisson of Florida, and Jonathin Troendle of Indiana, sister; June Abraira of Sanford, FL, brothers; Charles Smith of Gardner, and Carl Smith and his wife Candy of Williamsburg, MA, daughter in-law; LuAnn Hiscock of Greenfield and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11am in Pine Grove Cemetery in Templeton.
