With hearts full of both sorrow, we remember the life of Dorothy M. LeBlanc, who was born on April 24, 1942, in Ware, MA, and passed away on August 23, 2024. Dorothy was a beacon of strength and the epitome of a dedicated, loving, and supportive matriarch.
Dorothy was a generous soul who lived her life in service to others. She worked as a dispatcher for the Police Department, serving her community with dedication and compassion. Her working years were spent, in Barre and Hubbardston, MA. Dorothy also drove school bus for many years. In her retirement, she made her home in Gardner, Massachusetts, where she continued to touch lives with her warm spirit and her unending support. Dorothy was a woman who believed in the power of love, and she gave it freely, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Arthur LeBlanc III, Darlene (Paul) Newcomb, Doreen (Sven) Johnsson, and Ryan (Marilyn) LeBlanc. She is also survived by her sister, Irene (Richard) Stevens, sisters-in-law Martha Higgins and Pat Higgins, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will carry her legacy forward. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Charlotte Higgins, her beloved husband, Arthur LeBlanc, son John LeBlanc, sister Anna Reid, sister Charlotte Potter, brothers Walter and James Higgins, and her partner Randy Mizereck.
