LEOMINSTER - Douglas James Bourque 53, of 100 Main St. Apt 611 Leominster formerly of Clinton died Saturday evening November 28, 2009 surrounded by his loving family at home after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born January 3, 1956 in Leominster MA. the son of Donat Bourque and Elizabeth (Campbell) Bourque and lived in Clinton before returning to Leominster a few years ago.
He leaves his mother Elizabeth (Campbell) Bourque and long time companion Santo Arria of Clinton MA; his loving wife and best friend of 21 years Deborah Ruth (Cole) Bourque of Leominster; three daughters, Krystle Bourque of Washington, Tammy Mullaney of Clinton, and Sharon Weeks and her husband Joseph of Clinton; a son Steve A. Wilson of Ohio; three brothers, Donat K.Bourque and his wife Gail of Clinton, Denis A. Bourque of Clinton; Dean Bourque and his wife Linda of Auburn; a sister Dona M Agraz and her husband Steven of Westford; six grandchildren, Kyle Nelson, Justin Seamans, Jonathon Seamans, Nicole Mullaney, Cameron Mullaney and Nicholas Wilson; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A brother David Bourque died in 1990.
Doug graduated from Clinton High School in 1974. He worked at ITT/ Rockbestos Surprenant in Clinton and Bemis Industries in Shirley.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday December 2, 2009 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St. Leominster, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St Cecilia's Church 180 Mechanic St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St Cecilia's Cemetery Leominster.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, from 4-7 p.m. at the Simard Funeral Home.
