GREENFIELD - Earl L Grover, 69, of 8 Crescent Street, Greenfield formerly of Athol, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in the Poets Seat Nursing Home, Greenfield. He was born in Gardner, on October 19, 1938, the son of the late William and the late Dorcus (Calkins) Grover. He grew up in Athol and was educated in Athol. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was disabled during his service. He was a member of the Athol American Legion Post No. 102, the Athol VFW and was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He leaves one sister, Carol Smith of Tully and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Barbara Sweeney, Judy Manewich, and Kelly Grover. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 9, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glendale St., Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
