Edith M. (Wuokko) Franciose Beloved mother and grandmother LEOMINSTER - Edith M. (Wuokko) Franciose, 85, of Leominster died Wednesday March 30,2011 surrounded by her loving family in the Keystone Center Leominster after an illness. She was born October 10, 1925 in Fitchburg, the daughter of the late Waino and Lena Wuokko, and moved to Leominster many years ago. Her husband of 53 years, Mario P. "Marlo" Franciose, died October 14, 2002. Edith leaves one son, David M. Franciose of Lunenburg; two daughters, Carol A. (Franciose) Wilbur and her husband Kirt of Leominster, and Linda M. Franciose of Chester, VA; three granddaughters, Tyne Pajari, Kelly Wilbur, and Kaitlyn Wilbur; and one grandson, David Franciose, Jr. She also leaves and will be missed by her beloved cat, Honeybun. Edith spent most of her life as a homemaker, but she also worked as a cook for several years at the former Onyx Restaurant in Leominster, where she was well-known and loved. She was an avid bingo player, who loved to try her luck with the lottery. Edith loved spending time with her family and pets. She lovingly cared for her granddaughters when they were young. She also used to enjoy day trips with her longtime friend, Eva Ross. A graveside service will be held on Monday April 4,2011 in St Leos Cemetery Leominster at 12 Noon. There are no calling hours.
