Edith Johnson Horrigan

Athol – Mrs. Edith (Johnson) Horrigan, a resident of Marstons Mills, Ma died peacefully on November 13 at the age of 99. She was born in Boston, Ma on September 1, 1919. Mrs. Horrigan was predeceased by her husband William T. Horrigan in 2006 following 62 years of marriage. Mrs. Horrigan was the daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Murphy) Johnson of Royalston, Ma. Mrs. Horrigan was predeceased by her brother USAF Colonel Louis Johnson Jr. Mrs. Horrigan leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Among her countless interests Mrs. Horrigan was an insatiable reader, a knowledgeable gardener and was a skilled golfer. She and her husband traveled widely and enjoyed adventures with friends. Calling Hours will be held on Monday, November 19th from 9:00 am – 10:30 am in the Fiske Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 102 School St., Athol, MA.
