GARDNER - Edmund Harrer Damon, age 61, of Gardner died early in the morning on April 20, 2021 after a long illness.
Ted was known as “Ed” by his friends and the nurses at DaVita dialysis in Fitchburg, where he was a patient for over 15. He lived in Gardner his whole life and enjoyed keeping up his home and gardens, as well as scooter rides to Rietta Ranch.
Ted held a BS from University of MA in Lowell and worked for Digital Equipment at the beginning of his career, and in IT at Leominster Hospital later. His interests ranged from ham radio to Star Trek.
Predeceased by Ted were his parents Dr. William A. Damon and Ann H. Damon, and his sister Nancy Damon, who died August 6, 2020; all of Gardner. Ted never married and did not have children on his own.
Survivors include his sister, Beth Damon of Montpelier, VT; and his brothers, Matthew Damon-Tollenaere of Medford, OR; John Damon of Fall River, MA; and Alan Damon of Paris, France; and 11 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of a group gathering there will be a small graveside service in memory of Ted for immediate family later this summer.
