GARDNER - Edmund V. Dombek, 88 of 46 Harvard St., Gardner, died Friday, April 25, 2008 in the Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
He was born in Gardner, on January 1, 1920, the son of the late Stanislaw and the late Sophia (Chludzinska) Dombek.
Mr. Dombek was a retired Master Electrician. He enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing cards and especially enjoyed being with his family.
He leaves one son: Robert Dombek and his fiance Elaine of Gardner, one daughter: Janet Hogan and husband William of Morgan, VT; two grandsons: Connor Hogan and Aidan Hogan of Morgan, VT., and his friend Irene Fontaine of Baldwinville.
He was predeceased by his wife Germaine (Gauthier) Dombek who died in 1980, his son Daniel J. Dombek who died in 1981, his brother Alexander Dombek and his sister Lucille Dombek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 28, 2008 at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph's Church, 358 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 28, 2008 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. in the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
