Edmund W. Soucie, 68, of 15 Oaklawn Avenue, Orange, died Tuesday at Quabbin Valley Healthcare in Athol after a long illness.
He was born in Athol February 26, 1935, son of the late Roland and Rita (Moore) Soucie and lived most of his life in New York before returning to Athol twenty years ago.
For twenty five years prior to his retirement, he drove truck for the Coca Cola Co. and previously drove a bus for the city of New York. He enjoyed motorcycles, telling jokes, playing baseball and watching baseball games - especially the Mets and enjoyed watching wrestling.
He is survived by one son, Edmund A. Soucie of Long Island, NY and three daughters, Laurie F. Lawton, with whom he lived, Lisa M. Horacz of Westfield and Lenore G. Mundel also of Orange, his former wife, Lorraine (Newton) Soucie, 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visiting Hours are 6-8 PM Friday in J. EDWARD MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 137 Main St., Athol. No funeral service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Central New England Chapter: 101A First Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-1115
