GARDNER- Edmund J. Vallee, 70, of Gardner, died Wednesday, July 15, in Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, after an illness.
He was born March 29, 1945, in Gardner, son of the late Albert Vallee Sr. and the late Katherine Fowler Anderson. He was a graduate of Athol High School Class of 1963. He served in the Army National Guard. Mr. Vallee drove trucks for many different local companies. He had previously worked for L. S. Starrett Company and Stanley's Taxi. He enjoyed reading the newspaper, drinking his coffee, and sitting outside relaxing.
He leaves four children, Eric Vallee of Gardner, Kina Truehart and her husband, Edward of Athol, Lianne West and her husband, Edward of MN, and Kristy Vallee and her husband, Tim Bergevin of Gardner; two brothers, Richard Anderson and his wife, Asta of Barre, and Albert Vallee and his wife, Joanne of Oregon; nine grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sharon Gates in 2013, and his daughter, Leilani Vallee in January of this year.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
