Edward J Belliveau

Edward J Belliveau, loving husband, companion, father, grandfather and great grandfather

passed away on Monday, October 9th, 2022 in Gardner, Massachusetts at the age of 95. Eddie

was born on August 17th, 1927 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to Sylvain and Edna (Leger)

Belliveau. Eddie served in the U.S. Army, and worked as a paper maker until his retirement. In

his free time, Eddie was an enthusiastic and skilled athlete, and played baseball, basketball,

golf and bowling during his lifetime. He also loved playing cards and dancing. He is preceded

in death by his wife of 42 years, Ethel L. (Loiselle), his companion of 18 years, Lucille Ruel, his

parents, and siblings Arthur, Dorothy, Edgar and Joseph. He is survived by his children:

Stephen and his husband Michael Woolf; Thomas and his wife Kathi Ferguson-Belliveau; and

Jayne Belliveau-Dubois; two grandchildren, Nathan and Emily, two great-grandchildren, and

several nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A

private family service will be held on Friday October 14th, 2022 at 11:00am at St. Bernard’s

Cemetery, Fitchburg, Massachusetts. There will be no calling hours at the request of the

deceased. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Eddie’s name to the charity of your
