Westminster, MA- It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a deeply cherished man and a beacon of light to his family, Edward J. Markofsky Jr., on July 18, 2023. Born in Athol, MA, on February 19, 1942, Edward was renowned for his generous heart, supportive nature, humble demeanor, and his reliability that made him a rock for his loved ones.

Edward's life was marked by dedication and commitment, whether it was in his professional life as a Principle Systems Test Engineer at Raytheon, from which he retired in 2007 after 40 years, or his personal life, where his love for his family shone brightly. Edward was an avid traveler, taking his wife on memorable vacations, from yearly trips to Las Vegas to several tropical destination cruises .

Edward's life was a testament to the value of family, the importance of loyalty, and the beauty of simplicity. He was a proud US Army veteran and Boston College Dad to his daughter's Alma Mater. Additionally, he was a dedicated Red Sox and Boston Bruins sports fan, and a man of faith, attending Mass faithfully for years. His humble nature and genuine love for people endeared him to all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication, a testament to a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
