Eleanor D. Baltakis

LEOMINSTER - Eleanor D. (Pawlowicz) Baltakis, 88 of Leominster, formerly of Gardner, died Friday, May 4, 2012 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. She was born in Gardner, on February 18, 1924, the daughter of the late Stanley and the late Antoinette (Sczaback) Pawlowicz. She grew up in Gardner and was educated in Gardner.  Mrs. Baltakis was a communicant of Holy Spirit Church and a past member of the Knights of Lithuania. She loved baking and cooking and sharing her food with family and neighbors.  Mrs. Baltakis worked at various manufacturing companies in and around Gardner. She leaves one daughter, Nancy Moraski and her husband Daniel of West Springfield, MA; two sisters, Stacy Marysz of Westminster and Mary Duteau of Gardner. She was predeceased by her husband, John Baltakis who died 2008 and by her sister, Jennie St. Hilaire. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 10:00 am in Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Gardner. There are no calling hours.
