Eleanor Hanson

Templeton, MA, and formerly of Biddeford, ME, Eleanor (Springer) Hanson, 86, died Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Wachusett Manor in Gardner after an illness. 

She was the wife of the late Robert Brooks and later by the late Harold Hanson . 

Eleanor leaves four children, Vance Brooks and his wife, Kelly of Biddeford, ME, Adelina Esquerra and her husband Chris of Berkley, CA, Marina Ekman and her husband Tsuan of San Francisco, CA, and Nathan Hanson of Templeton, MA; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Springer, and Donald Springer both of CA; one niece, and three nephews. 

She was born in Biddeford, ME on May 13, 1936, a daughter of the late, Arthur and Esther (Sequeira) Springer. She graduated from Biddeford High School and from Nasson College in Springvale, ME. 

She taught in the Biddeford School systems and Sanford and Wells, as a Middle School teacher. 

Eleanor enjoyed reading, gardening, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Funeral services are private in Maine.
