Elizabeth Alba (Hackett) Raymond

GARDNER- Elizabeth Alba Hackett Raymond, age 92, died peacefully at Legend Nursing Home in Gardner, July 14, with her family by her side.   She was born in Boston, MA on January 12, 1922.  She was the daughter of Edward Joseph Hackett and Elizabeth Traverse Hackett. Elizabeth and Edwin F. Raymond, Sr. were married 48 years. Edwin predeceased Elizabeth in 1993. She was predeceased by her son, William Joseph Raymond, her sister, Mary Morse of Watertown, MA and a brother, William Hackett of Traverse City, MI. She leaves a son, Edwin F. Raymond and wife, BettyAnn Raymond of Leominster, MA; grandchildren Erik Raymond and wife, Christie of Omaha, NE, Kristie Capobianco and husband, Joseph of Scituate, MA; and her treasured great grandchildren, Bryce, Luke, Alaynah, Alexis, Zoe, Bo, Katherine, Anna and Elizabeth. Elizabeth was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Gardner since 1950.  She graduated in 1944 from Cambridge City Hospital, School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.  She worked at Henry Heywood Hospital in Gardner and also at the Gardner Manor nursing home for over 20 years.   The funeral will be held Friday, July 18, from John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner, with a Mass at 12:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Burial will follow in New Cemetery, Ashburnham. Calling hours will precede the funeral Friday, July 18, from 9:30 to 11:30 A.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
