ASHBURNHAM- Ella J. (Goguen) Harding, 84, of Asburnham, died Saturday, August 2, in Wachusett Manor, after an illness.
She was born April 12, 1930, in Gardner, daughter of the late Edmond J. and Mary (Robichaud) Goguen. Mrs. Harding graduated from Gardner High School in 1948. She worked at Oakmont Regional School in the cafeteria. She later worked at the former Gardner State Hospital, Rutland State Hospital, and the Templeton Development Center, retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Harding was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She loved to go fishing and ice fishing at Lake Champlain. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.
She leaves her husband of 65 years, Roy E. Harding; two sons, Alan R. Harding and his wife, Gloria of Hudson, FL, and David W. Harding of Fitchburg; one daughter, Sandra E. Harding and her husband, Al Johnson of West Townsend; four grandchildren, Mikaela, Noah, Gabriel, Krystle Harding; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Harding.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 23, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Denis Church, 85 Main St., Ashburnham.
Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner is assisting the family with arrangements.
