Orange – Ella (Johnson) Worrick, 93, of 324 Tully Road, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester
Ella was born in Orange, Massachusetts, March 9, 1919, the daughter of J. Adolph and Ellen F. (Karlson) Johnson. She grew up in Orange living there for many years, moving to Athol in 1957 and since 2003 has resided in Tully. Ella graduated from Orange High School in 1937. She worked as a bookkeeper in the Athol-Orange area for many years. She also worked for the Town of Athol as assistant treasurer, later becoming the town treasurer for several years.
Ella was a former member of the Athol Rainbow Girls and the Grange. She enjoyed picture painting, square dancing and traveling with her husband.
She leaves her husband of 55 years, Jesse C. Worrick, Jr. She was predeceased by three sisters, Martha and Amy Johnson and Gurlie Ingram.
A graveside service will be held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at South Cemetery, Orange with the Rev. Freda Maier officiating.
