LEOMINSTER – Elodie M Maillet, of Leominster, died at home on Tuesday October 22, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Canada, on May 14, 1932, the daughter of the late Placide Gallant and the late Delia (Vautour) Gallant. She moved to Leominster from Canada in 1960. Elodie worked many years at Cluett & Sons and retired from Key Plastics.
She was a lifelong member of St. Cecilia's Church. Elodie’s favorite thing in life was spending time and sharing many laughs with her loving husband Alonzo. Since his passing in 2013, she continued to enjoy her life by spending time with her family, grandchildren, and many friends. She loved and looked forward to dancing to live country music every Sunday with her close friends and family, after completing a serious game of this or that……. trying to decide what to wear to the club. She enjoyed “going for a ride”, which was code for a trip to the casino, with her children and friends. She also absolutely adored the time she got to spend with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She couldn’t get enough of them.
She left the trail of love and positivity everywhere she went. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting her is better for having known her.
She leaves two daughters, Jacqueline Maillet of Leominster with whom she lived, Arlene Breau and her husband, Richard of Leominster; two sons, Claude Maillet and his wife Lynn of West Yarmouth, Michael Maillet and his companion Michelle Dowling of Leominster; Her Brother Joseph Gallant of N.B. Canada, her sister Fabiola Pitre of N.B. Canada, six grandchildren, Andrea Digeronimo and her husband Shaun, Matthew Skehan, Cameron Maillet, Joshua Maillet, Mallory Caron and her husband Matt, Derek Breau, 4 great grandchildren Vincent & Camilla DiGeronimo and Rylan & Elodie Caron all of Leominster; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
