Emile J Brosseau

Fitchburg- Emile J. Brosseau, 99, of Fitchburg passed away peacefully on Tuesday June 26, 2013 with his family by his side. Emile was born in Leominster, MA on April 26, 1914, the son of the late Philias Brosseau and the late Ida (Devarney) Brosseau and lived most of his life in Leominster. Emile worked for the E.I. Dupont Company in Leominster for over 35 years as a production manager. He was very active in Sholan Farms and one of the founding members of The Friends of Sholan Farms. Emile was also a member of AARP, Leominster Sportsmen’s Club, and St. Cecilia’s Church. He enjoyed spending time fishing and woodworking. Emile leaves behind one brother; Paul Brosseau of Pawtucket, RI, two Sisters; Irene Boucher, and Alice Murphy both of Leominster, three grandchildren; April Perry and her husband David of Fitchburg with whom he lived, Christopher Infantino and his wife Linda of Fitchburg, John Infantino y of Leominster,                       Four great- grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.  Emile was predeceased by  his wife of 63 years, Irene P. (Beaudette) Brosseau, one son; Gary E. Brosseau (2005), One daughter; Lorraine R. Infantino ( 2012), three brothers and one sister. Calling hours will be held on Sunday June 30, 2013 from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker Street, Leominster. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 1, 2013 at 10:00am in St. Cecilia’s Church 180 Mechanic St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery, Leominster. The family is requesting that flowers be omitted and donations in Emile’s name be left at the funeral home for: Diversified Hospice or Sholan Farms.
