ORANGE - Emily "Rita" (Boyle) Quinlan, 76 of 383 East River St., Orange, died Friday, December 22, 2006, after battling several lengthy illnesses, in the Athol Memorial Hospital, Athol.
She was born in Athol, on December 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Norman R. Boyle and the late Elizabeth (Duguay) Boyle.
She was a long time employee of the food service and hospitality industries. We will miss her outgoing personality and warm hearted spirit.
The family and friends would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staffs at Athol Memorial Hospital and Quabbin Valley Health Care for the superior professionalism, care and compassion they displayed while having Rita in their care.
She leaves one son, James F. Riley of Port St. Lucie, FL; two grandchildren; Stephanie Bush and Brittany Riley of Port St. Lucie, FL a brother Norman R. Boyle of Athol.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 28, 2006, at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will be private.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2006, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the 0J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol.
