ATHOL - Ermalene T. (LeBlanc) DePratti, 84 of Athol, died Monday, July 25, 2016 in the The Arbors, Greenfield, MA.
She was born in Rumford, Maine, on April 7, 1932, the daughter of the late Desmond and the late Bertha (Bernard) LeBlanc.
She grew up in Erving and graduated from Orange High School in 1950. She was a hairdresser out of high school and worked as a cafeteria worker at Riverbend School in Athol from 1975-1992.
She was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church, member of the Catholic Women's League and the Daughters of Isabella. She enjoyed crafting, baking and painting.
She leaves four daughters, Deborah J. DePratti of Rutland, MA, Renee M. Lauriat and her husband James of Greenfield, MA, Theresa A. Dodge and her husband Dana E. of Erving, MA, Susan E. Maguire and her husband Frederick L. of Orange, MA; one son, Timothy M. DePratti of Newton Center, MA; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Lauriat) Trembley, Ryan J. Lauriat, Elizabeth (Maguire) Lemcke, Christopher Dodge, Sarah (Lauriat) Clary, Jennifer (Dodge) Wallace and Luci Maguire; eleven great grandchildren; one sister, Elaine Bartus and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Eugene A. DePratti in 2012 and by her brother Bernard LeBlanc
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Erving Center Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, 128 Providence St., Unit 201, Worcester, MA 01604.
