ANTRIM, NH - Ernest J. Soucy "Mick", 89 of Antrim, New Hampshire was welcomed into God's Kingdom to share eternal life on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 in Pheasant Wood Nursing Home Peterborough, New Hampshire.
He was born September 6, 1925 in Leominster the son of Arthur and Elizabeth (Phalen) Soucy. He grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School in 1944. He attended Maryland University and he was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He also served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960. Mr. Soucy was a Computer Technician and worked for General Instrument Corporation, Motorola Solutions.
He leaves a nephew, Robert Mason and his wife Lillian of Leominster; close friends, Ryan Storro and wife Carole of Antrim, New Hampshire and their children Carly and Hunter; he will be remembered for his unconditional love for the family dog, Reesie; he leaves one brother, Andrew Soucy and his wife Lorraine of Leominster his sister-in-law Ruth Soucy of Leominster and many great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters Agnes C. (Soucy) (Mason) McRell, Elizabeth Gallagher, and by one brother, Arthur Soucy.
The Storro and Mason families extend their gratitude for all who cared for Mick with patience and compassion over the past few months.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11a.m. in the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St., Leominster. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home.
