Estella E. Szymcik

OTTER RIVER - Estella E. (Ellis) Szymcik, 81, of 36 Liberty St., Otter River, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Rangeley, ME, on February 7, 1926, the daughter of the late Lynwood and the late Marion (Oakes) Ellis. She was a retired bank teller at Colonial Cooperative Bank. She enjoyed reading, swimming, walking, knitting and crocheting. She also liked traveling and cherished time spent with her family. She leaves one son, Charles Szymcik and his wife Sharron of Otter River; two daughters, Patricia Manca and her husband David of East Templeton, Helen Landry and her husband Charles of Holden; three sisters, Betty Aho of Templeton, Christine Davis of Auburn, ME, Greta Pratt of Weld, ME; two brothers, Paul Ellis of Rangeley, ME, Harry Ellis of Stratton, ME; nine grandchildren, Brandi Manca, Tony Manca, Lindsey Smith, Allissa Szymcik, Andrew Szymcik, Alex Szymcik, Angela Szymcik, Amber Landry, Ryan Landry; and one great grandson, Hunter Manca. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Szymcik in 1995; by three brothers, Walter Ellis, Sayward Ellis, and Cutler Ellis; and by two sisters, Margorie Szymcik and Hermia Steward. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
