Eudora M. (Merriam) williams

PETERBOROUGH, NH - Eudora M. (Merriam) Williams, 94 of Peterborough, NH, died Monday, October 21, 2013 in the Pheasant Wood Care and Rehabilitation Center, Peterborough, NH. She was born in Athol, on March 21, 1919, the daughter of the late George and the late Matilda (Masterson) Merriam. Eudora grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.  She went on to graduate from Bryant College. She lived most of her life in Athol before moving to Fitzwilliam, NH in 1984.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  She summered in Fitzwilliam since 1950 and also enjoyed knitting, walking and caring for stray cats. She leaves one daughter, Terri Deschenes of Rindge, NH; two sons, Robert Williams of Troy, NH, Kevin Williams of Fitzwilliam, NH; five grandchildren, Ryan Williams, Kyle Williams, Tyson Williams, Renee Davis, Jamien Deschenes; one step grandchild, Melissa Deschenes; eight great grandchildren, Jolie Gonthier, Aida Davis, Samson Davis, Amelie Davis, Isla Davis, Thatcher Williams, Landon Williams, Rhys Williams. She was predeceased by her husband Simon Williams. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home 110 New Athol Road, Orange.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Athol. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
