PORTLAND, OREGON - Eugene “Gene†L. Trudel, 72 of 0650 S.W. Lowell St., Apt 50., Portland, OR, died Friday, April 12, 2013.
He was born in Gardner, MA, on February 25, 1941, the son of the late Theogene and the late Louise (LaRivier) Trudel.
He grew up in Gardner, graduated from Gardner High School, and attended Assumption College in Worcester, Ma.
Gene work in the hardware industry as a salesman. He started his career working for Aubuchon Hardware and retired at the National Hardware Corporation. Gene followed his dreams as a free spirited individual who enjoyed music, playing piano with family, cribbage, tennis, antiques, the beach, convertible top cars and was an avid Red Sox fan.
He leaves five daughters, Denise Kuriyama, Pamela Trudel-Chauncey, Lynn Dellogono, Karen Barr, Kara Trudel-Beaulac; one sister, Pauline Mallet, one brother, Robert Peter “Pete†Trudel; seven grandchildren, Nicole Chauncey, Michael Chauncey, Erica Dellogono, Anthony Dellogono, Alexis Dellogono, Emily Barr, Rachel Barr; nephews and nieces, Andre Mallet, James Mallet, Paul Mallet, Charles Mallet, Patricia "Bunny"Aas, Andrea Dinneen, Maureen Gallant, JackieTrudel, Diane “Didi†Songin, Brian Trudel, Michael Trudel.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Ferdinand Trudel, Ronald Trudel and Maurice Trudel.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 26, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon St., Gardner. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Cancer Society's, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
