LEOMINSTER- Eva M. (Doucette) Caissie, 69, died Tuesday, August 2, at Leominster Hospital, after battling a long illness.
She leaves her husband of 51 years, Leo J. Caissie; one son, Kenneth Caissie and his wife, Diane of Leominster; two daughters, Carmen Tellier and husband, Peter of Plymouth, and Brenda Frost and her husband, Alan of Leominster; six grandchildren, Renee Caissie, Ryan Caissie, Jonathan Tellier, Kelly Tellier, Cheyenne Frost, and Shawn Frost; three great grandchildren, Lynn Warren, Kody Warren, and Laci Warren; four brothers, Richard Doucette of Leominster, Donald Doucette of Leominster, Daniel Doucette of Iowa, and Robert Doucette of Leominster; three sisters, Alma Richard of New Brunswick, Irene Doucette of Lancaster, and Alice Bourque of PA; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Doucette of Lunenburg, her sisters, Stella Robichaud of Gardner, and Annette Doucette of New Brunswick, son in law, Kenneth Gilbert of Leominster, and great grandson, Tyler Warren of Leominster.
Eva was born in Rogersville, New Brunswick, Canada on April 8, 1947, a daughter of the late Gerard and Rosalie (Martin) Doucette. She was a loving wife, caring mother, and proud grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, photography, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed trips through the years to the White Mountains, and the beaches of Maine and Canada. She will be greatly missed and her memory cherished by her family.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 6, at 10:00 A.M. in St. Cecilia’s Church, 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday, August 5, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. in Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
