ATHOL - Eva M. Roy, 75, of 25 Congress St., died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005 in the Athol Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Athol on April 5, 1930, the daughter of the late Francis and the late Emma (Robichaud) Blanchard.
She was employed by the Athol Daily News for many years. She was a member of the Athol Golden Agers Club and Our Lady Immaculate Church. Her hobbies included enjoying friends and family, shopping and watching television.
She leaves her husband, Richard F. Roy, Sr.; three sons, Robert Roy of Athol, Richard Roy, Jr. of Emmaus, PA, and Ronald Roy of New Salem; two daughters, Anita Bevis of Phillipston and Karen Roy of Baldwinville; eight grandchildren, Lindsey Roy, Sara Roy, Robert Roy II, Rachael Roy, Kaitlyn Roy, Nicholas Lonzo, Daniel Bevis and Elizabeth Bevis.
She was predeceased by five brothers; Ben, Gerard, Robert, Edward and George Blanchard, and two sisters; Bertha Brown and Rita Paulin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28, at 11 a.m. in the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
