Evan H. Willey, Jr. Athol – Evan H. Willey, Jr., 84, of 21 Gibson Drive, died Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Athol Memorial Hospital      Evan was born in Leverett on November 23, 1927, the son of Evan H.  and Louise (Spencer) Willey, Sr.  He grew up in Vermont and had lived in North Carolina for many years, moving to Athol last year.  He loved to travel the United States and was a truck driver for many years.      He leaves a daughter, Fern Eunice Willey of NC, a son Michael Willey in the Philippines; a step-son Evan Lafferty of VA; three sisters, Fern Cruse of Woodstock, VT, Lorraine Boyden of Ft. Meyers, FL, and Natalie Ewing of Revere and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by four children; Glenn, Clyde and Timothy Willey; a daughter Anne Frame and brothers, Clyde and Glenn Willey and a sister Eunice.      A graveside service will be held at Center Cemetery in North Conway, NH at the convenience of the family.   Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol, MA is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to share a memory go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
