Evangeline M. "Vangie" Chaisson

ATHOL - Evangeline “Vangie” M. Chaisson, 93, passed away Monday, February 9, 2015 at Heywood Hospital surrounded by family.  She is the daughter of Anna (Godin) (Chaisson) McClare and Eli Chaisson.   She lived in Athol all of her life.  She worked at Union Twist Drill, L.S. Starrett, and her favorite the Minute Tapioca. Vangie, as we all knew her, was predeceased by her husband, Omer Chaisson, son, Richard (Ditto) O. Chaisson, her sister Bertha Dabkowski, and three brothers, Howard Gauvin, Lawrence and Valmond (Lefty) Chaisson. Her favorite past times were making puzzles, reading, watching church on television, having her hair done, and spending time with family. She is survived by two daughters, Sheila M. Boudreau, Sharon (Moony) L. Chaisson both of Athol; one son, Alan Chaisson and his wife Sheryl of Templeton; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren,  two great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Our Lady Immaculate Church 192 School St., Athol.  Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery at a later date. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 7 Mill Brook Road, Wilton, NH 03086.
