Evelyn M. Chaisson

ATHOL - Evelyn M. (Mailloux) Chaisson, 89, of Athol died Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Heywood Hospital of Gardner, MA. She was born November 6, 1926 in Athol, the daughter of the late Filicien and the late Catherine (Roussell) Mailloux. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward J. Chaisson who died in 1981. She grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. She worked for J. F. McElwan Shoe Factory and L. S. Starrett Company assembling indicators. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed camping and time with family. She is survived by one son: Alan E Chaisson of Athol, a niece, Donna Duplessie of Athol; a niece, Lana Alliott of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Anita M Chaisson, two sisters, Lillian Godin, Irene Gallant. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange, MA with Rev. Mark Bariloni officiating. Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. A calling hour will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 10-11 a.m. in the funeral home.
