LEOMINSTER – Evelyn R. (Cote) Consalvo, 90, of Leominster died Sunday, April 29, 2012 in the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital after an illness.
She was born April 7, 1922 in Leominster the daughter of Israel and Matilda (Ducharme) Cote.
Mrs. Consalvo worked for Star Manufacturing Company and for Peerless Audio until her retirement in 1986.
She leaves her husband of 39 years, Henry A. Consalvo of Leominster; a son Rodney Bergeron and his wife Cindy of Leominster; a daughter, Debra Cannavino and her husband Peter of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Stephanie Turcotte and her husband Michael of Scottsdale, AZ, Neil Bergeron and his wife Jessica of Leominster, Nicholas Cannavino of Fitchburg, Alisha Marklund and her husband Paul of Fitchburg; three great grandchildren, Lily Bergeron of Leominster, Sophie and Abigail Marklund of Fitchburg; a sister Rita Brouilette of Leominster; a sister-in-law Clair Cote of Leominster; step children, Kenneth Consalvo and his wife Debbie of Fitchburg, Lorraine Cote of Leominster, Denise Difilice and her husband James of Leominster, Elaine Carrol and her husband Lee of Leominster, Paul Consalvo and his wife Paula of Ashburnham, Michelle LeMay and her husband Greg of Fitchburg; Ronald Consalvo and his wife Darla of Myrtle Beach, SC; and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son and daughter in their infancy; she was predeceased by her siblings, Jeannette Aubuchon, Loretta Banville, Roland Cote, Norman Cote, Enda Gradner, Irene Hurtubise and Francis Cote; and by step-children, Patricia Brown and Raymond Consalvo.
Evelyn enjoyed traveling and visited most of the United States. She enjoyed going to the casinos and playing cards with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed seeing and spending time with her great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Cecilia’s Church 180 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans Cemetery in Winchendon.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St., Leominster.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
