ORANGE - Evelyn C. "DeeDee" (Adams) Lewis, 74, of 519 East River St. #28, Orange, died Friday, August 22, 2008 in the Leo LaChance Nursing Home, Gardner. She was born in Boston on October 8, 1933, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Draper) Adams. She worked selling merchandise for Avon for several years, receiving the Silver Certificate for $50,000 in sales, and the Gold Certificate for $100,000 in sales. Mrs. Lewis and her late husband, Ronald J. Lewis, owned and operated Ron's Antiques in Athol for 30 years. Evelyn loved her family. She was an Elks Club member and loved bingo. She enjoyed playing on her computer and getting e-mail. She also loved her two cats, Big Guy and Princess. She leaves one daughter, Debra M. Lewis and her boyfriend Charles Habershaw of Athol; one granddaughter, whom she called her "favorite", Ginger D. Tetreault and her boyfriend Norman Legro of Orange; three grandsons, Todd Tetreault Jr., Kobe Tetreault, and Riley Tetreault, all of Orange; a sister, Jane Adams and her companion Marie Hammonds of Orange; two brothers, John Adams and his wife Francine of FL, Henry Adams and his girlfriend Gail Dorrow of FL.; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Ronald Joseph Lewis, who died January 21, 2008. Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Heywood Hospital Rehabilitation Unit, 250 Green St., Gardner, MA 01440.
