Gardner- Evelyn Jurgielewicz, 93 of Gardner died Friday, March 29, 2013 in Heywood Hospital following a short illness. She was born on November 16, 1919, the daughter of the late Jan and Broneslawa (Geinczewska) Jurgielewicz.
Evelyn worked at New England Medical Center in Boston as a Radiologic Technician for thirty years before moving back to Gardner. She was a member of the Gardner AARP, the Golden Age, and she was a devoted member of the Higher Ground Ministries. Evelyn enjoyed traveling in her younger years with senior groups and was admired by many friends across the country.
Evelyn leaves behind one brother; Felix Jurgelewicz and his wife Theresa of Gardner, two sisters; Regina O’Connell and Josephine Mitchell, both of Gardner, four nieces; Sandra, Donna, Pam, and Sharon, and two nephews; Stanley and Jay.
She was pre-deceased by three brothers; John H., Anthony, and Benny Jurgelewicz.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 11:00am in the St. John’s Cemetery. The family requests that those attending to meet at the cemetery.
