Everet A. Robichaud

ORANGE - Everet A. Robichaud, 72 died unexpectedly at the home of his nephew, Michael Legassey and his wife Merilee of Orange on Sunday, March 20, 2011, the same day his mother died 49 years ago. He was born in Athol, on April 29, 1938, the son of the late Edward J. and the late Ezilda M. (Robichaud) Robichaud. Everet grew up in Athol and was educated in Athol, he graduated from the LaSallette Seminary in Connecticut in 1956. He worked at the former Athol Table Company, Temple Stewart Company and several other local wood companies in the area. He retired in 2003. He enjoyed time spent with his family and enjoyed playing the lottery. He was predeceased by his former wife, Rachel (LaBrie) Robichaud; by his sister, Emilie Legassey; by his brother, Edward Robichaud, Jr., by his brother, Ernest J. Robichaud, who years ago fell off the Erving Paper Mill on his mother's birthday with his brother Everet working with him. He is survived by two sons, Francis and Dominic; he will be missed by his three sisters; Evelyn Superchi and her husband Thomas; Esther Soucie and her husband David both of Athol; Emelda Haughton and her husband Reginald, Sr. of Phillipston; a brother in-law, Lionel Legassey and his wife Marcia and a sister in-law, Irene McGrath and her husband Sylvain; and also by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews all of Athol. His parents and all seven children's first names began with an E and all had six letters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will be private at a later date in Gethsemane Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Friday, March 25, 2011, from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Roof Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331.
