Everett F. Glenn, Jr. Petersham – Everett Francis “Cy” Glenn Jr., 76, of South Street, died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.      Cy was born in Boston, MA, June 12, 1938, the son of Everett F. and Lillian (Hickey) Glenn, Sr. and was the oldest boy of 10 children.  He grew up in Acton where he lived for many years and for the past 45 years has resided in Petersham.        Cy worked as a second class fireman for Plasticrete in Acton for many years and for Crocker Technical Paper in Fitchburg until his retirement in 2000.  Cy enjoyed hunting, fishing and teaching his grandsons to do the same.  He liked sports, enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.  He also loved playing cards, going to Foxwoods, woodworking and carpentry, enjoying making many items for family members.  He enjoyed doing oil paintings but most especially enjoyed spending time with his family.          He leaves his wife of 55 years, Eleanore M. (Savosh) Glenn; a son, Dennis E. Glenn of Gilbertville, MA; two daughters, Doreen E. Kosa of Houston, TX and Julianne T. Glenn and her fiancé Gerald McAlister of North Brookfield, MA; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Patten, Cassandra Howard, Jamison Thomas, Jessica Glenn, Dylan Glenn, Danielle Kosa, Taylor Roberts and Nathan Roberts.  He also leaves five great grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Eaton of Ashburnham, MA; three brothers, Robert of Ashburnham, Thomas of Pepperell and Henry of South Acton and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.      At Cy’s request no formal services are planned.  Higgins-O’Connor, 146 Main Street, Athol is directing arrangements.  Those wishing to make a donation in Cy’s name may make it to the donor’s choice.  For further information or to share a memory with the family go to: www.higginsoconnorfuneralhome.com. $(document).ready(function(){ });
