Flora C. Litchfield

ATHOL - Flora C. Litchfield, 92 of 567 Pleasant Street, died Thursday, November 3, 2005 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Athol, on September 25, 1913, the daughter of the late Ernest and the late Anna (Vacarazza) Cucchi. She was prececeased by her husband, Frederick B. Litchfield, who died in 1993; a son, John Litchfield, who died in 1998; a brother, Edmund Cucchi, and a sister, Doris Cucchi. She leaves two sons; Mark Litchfield of Athol, and James Litchfield of Georgia, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She grew up in Athol and was a lifelong resident, graduating from Athol High School in 1931. She attended Bay Path Institute in 1932, studying Short Term Business. She worked for the Athol School Dept. in her early years and later for the former Hermans Jewelers of Athol. She was a member of Our Lady Immaculate Church, a Regent of the "Daughters of Isabella", a former member of the "Dear Vi" Women´s Club, enjoyed spending time with friends Hilda, Edna and Alice and family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 10:00 am at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331 $(document).ready(function(){ });
