GARDNER - Flora Cecelia Mongrain, 93 of Gardner, died Thursday, October 1, 2015 in the Heywood Hospital.
She was born in Athol, on January 11, 1922, the daughter of the late Frederick and the late Florina (Boudreau) Piette.
She was raised in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the class of 1939. Mrs. Mongrain has been a resident of Orange for the past sixty years. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Orange and a member of their Catholic Women's League. Flora enjoyed crocheting, reading, baking and gardening.
She leaves one daughter: Nancy J. Fleming and her husband David of Hillsboro, NH; one son: Raymond F. Mongrain and his wife Marian of Hagerstown, MD; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years: Joseph R. Mongrain who died in 2002; two brothers: Herman Piette, Frederick Piette; one sister: Esther Brook who died in 2011
Funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours.
