Frank A. Ralys
ATHOL - Frank A. Ralys, 75, of 79 Warwick Ave, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002 in the Athol Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Athol on April 16, 1926, a son of Anthony and Antena (Walikavich) Ralys and lived here all of his life. He was employed with the Union Tool Company of Orange, Eastern Furniture Company of Athol and later the Harrington and Richardson Company of Gardner for many years prior to his retirement in 1988. Following his retirement, he and his wife operated a reupholstering business out of their home in Athol.
He was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol. He enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Harrington and Richardson bowling league at the Gardner Ten Pin. He enjoyed golfing, electronics, card playing, camping, dining out, traveling and was a computer enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie E. (Bergeron) Ralys whom he wed on June 28, 1952; one brother, Anthony Ralys of Athol and several nephews and nieces. A brother, Stanley Ralys of Orange, died many years ago.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, Feb. 21 from the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home with a funeral Mass in Our Lady Immaculate Church at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
Visiting hours at the funeral home are form 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
