Frank Richard Robbins, 89, after a lengthy illness, sadly passed away at his home with his family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024.

He was born in Leominster on March 13, 1935, a son of the late Elmer and Laura (Emerson) Robbins, he was one of 15 siblings. He joined the Air Force in 1953, and following Jet Engine training in Nevada, he was transferred to Korea as an Electrical mechanic working on Jet Engines. He returned home in 1957, and was honorably discharged as an Airman /2 Class; he was a recipient of the National Defense Medal.

He went to work at Simplex Time Recorder in Gardner for 30-plus years. While at Simplex he enjoyed their 10-pin bowling teams and men's golf leagues. After his retirement, Frank and his sons took classes to learn how to build their own golf clubs. Frank made many sets for his family and friends and spent many hours doing repairs to friend clubs.

Frank was a very quiet man who loved his family and small family gatherings. He enjoyed his two Robbins family reunions on Wyman's pond. Playing the lottery, daily numbers, and scratch tickets. He loved feeding the birds and replanting his perennials around his yard, which he and Betty lived in for 53 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty (Goguen) Robbins; his two sons, Frank Robbins Jr and his wife Karen of Bluffton, SC, and Edward Robbins and his wife Darcy of Westminster; one daughter Debra Sutela and her husband Edward of Derry, NH; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Robbins and his wife Nancy of Hubbardson; one sister, Regina Page and her husband Frank of Ashburnham; two brothers-in-law, Bruce Goguen who lives with Frank and Betty, and Richard Goguen and his wife Kristina of Ashburnham; and many nieces and nephews. Frank is predeceased by his parents and 12 brothers and sisters.

Frank's family would like to thank Dr. David Havlin at Winchendon Health Center for over 30 years of compassionate care. They would also like to thank the Gardner Care Central VNA and Hospice Team of Felicia, Samantha, and Taylor for helping Frank stay in his home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Frank's name to the Care Central VNA and Hospice, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440
