Fred L. Poulin

Leominster-Fred L. Poulin, 78, died Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Beth Israel Hospital after an illness.

He leaves his wife, Lorraine (Hebert) Poulin; his children, Edward Poulin and his wife Vicki, Donna Hamlet and her husband Dan, Denise Welsh and her husband Richard, Rick Peters and his wife Judi, Ellen Voutour and her husband Richard, and Craig Peters and his partner Shena Bellerose; 15 grandchildren, Nicholas LeBlanc, Brandon LeBlanc, Melanie Poulin, Meagan Lazak, Sean Welsh, Cara Welsh, Alex Peters, Autumn England, Ryan Voutour, Kyle Voutour, Dylan Voutour, Rylee Peters, Owen Peters, Camron Peters, and Drew Leger; six great-grandchildren, Carter LeBlanc, Mason Voutour, Adelynn England, Keira Lazak, Thomas Lazak, and Matthew Lazak; one sister, Karen Watts and her husband David, his sister in law Maryellen Poulin; and many nieces and nephews.  

He was predeceased by his brothers Ken Poulin, and Francis Poulin and his wife Peggy.  

Fred was born in Clinton on July 10, 1944, a son of the late Frank and Emily (Lueder) Poulin. He graduated from Nashoba High School and from Worcester Tech with a certificate in Welding. He owned and operated Leominster Recycling & Salvage Co. with his son Edward and Poulin Farms with his father Frank.

Fred enjoyed fishing, working in his garden, playing pool at the Eagles, and going to Foxwoods. He was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, Leominster #477.

His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, MA 01453.

His burial will follow in St. Cecelia's Cemetery, Leominster, MA.

Calling hours for Fred will be held in the funeral home prior to his funeral from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
