LEOMINSTER - Frieda Helga (Failler) Kovacs, 68 of 40 Gordon St., Leominster, died Wednesday evening, September 5, 2007 at home after a long battle with Peritoneal Cancer. She was born in Munderkingen, Germany, on August 28, 1939. She came to the United States in 1964 becoming a citizen in 1969. Mrs. Kovacs was employed as a lab technician for the John E. Cain Co. in Ayer, Ma. for many years. She enjoyed bowling, traveling, knitting, and playing Bunko. She is survived by her longtime companion and husband of five years: Pal Kovacs, her three daughters: Romy Bailey and husband Jonathan of Virginia Beach, VA., Carolyn Majo and Patrick Blocker of Shirley, and Michelle Young and husband Mark of Warwick, NY; her sister: Sigrid Knorr of Munderkingen, Germany; her step-daughter Lorna Hebert and husband Michael of Wayland; her two step-sons, Christopher Kovacs and wife Sue of Freemont, CA. and Eric Kovacs of Leominster; thirteen grandchildren: Jason and wife Susie, Kawika, Sean and his wife Heather, Jessica, Alyssa, Ryan, Tyler, Trevor, Samantha, Jacob, Nicholas, Joshua and Danielle and five great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be held Monday, September 10, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. in the M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
