Gail L. Warn
Peoria, Arizona – Gail Lee (McKay) Warn, 66, died October 9, 2013 at the Hospice House of Arizona in Peoria with her loving husband by her side.
Gail was born in Athol, Massachusetts, June 30, 1947, the daughter of Lawrence and Ida (MacLean) McKay of Estabrook Street in Athol. She grew up in Athol, graduating from Athol High School in 1965.
She started her airline career attending airline school in Hartford, CT. Her first airline job was with Executive Air Lines in Boston and then went to Eastern Air Lines in NJ and Atlanta. She later moved to CA working for Hugh’s Air and then Northwest Airlines in reservations. Gail went into real estate from 1987 until 1997. She also worked for a travel agency and a title company. Gail and her husband lived in Seattle, WA for two years before moving to their present homes in Prescott and Peoria where they have lived for 29 years.
Gail loved to sew, knit, needlepoint, and most of all travel was her favorite. She and her husband and friends traveled to China, Egypt, Europe, Barbados, Hawaii, and Tahiti. She loved taking her parents all over the world for as long as they were able to travel.
She leaves her husband of 36 years, Richard; two brothers, Donald J. McKay and his wife Elaine of Hubbardston, and Ronald McKay and his wife May of Gardner, MA and many nieces and nephews. Gail loved her two golden retrievers, Kelsey and Jake.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol with Pastor Thomas Curtis of Holden Chapel, Holden will be officiating.
