Gail M. North

ATHOL - Gail M. North, 52, of Orange died Monday, March 23, 2015 at Athol Hospital.   Gail was born May 2, 1962 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Earl E. North and Barbara A. (McGuirk) North.      Gail grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School with the Class of 1981.  She received her Master’s in Special Education from American International College in Springfield in 1986. She enjoyed gardening with her mother, loved her cats and spending time with her nieces and nephews.   She leaves her mother; Barbara North of Athol; two sisters, Pamela North-Brown and her husband Richard of Royalston, Tracy LaRose and her husband William of Athol; one brother Robert North of New Market MD: eight nieces and nephews, Sarah Shinkle and her fiancé Patrick Haggerty, Jeremy Brown, Jessica Bailey and her husband Gregg and their son Atticus James, Emily LaRose, Second Lieutenant William LaRose, Thomas LaRose, Gabrielle North and Zachary North; and her friend Terry Robichaud. She was predeceased by her father Earl E. North, by her niece, Meghan Shinkle, by her maternal grandparents, Reginald and Maxine McGuirk and by her paternal grandparents Arlan and Mary North. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol.  Burial will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange.
