September 8, 1956 — December 28, 2009

GARDNER - Gary Scott Whitney, born September 8, 1956, went home to his Creator on December 28, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Sheila (Morgan) Whitney and grandfather to Parker Proulx. He was father to Monet and Philip Proulx and Andre and Alicia Meunier. He was the son of Rachael Chase Darling of Zepher Hills, Florida and the late Lester Whitney. He also leaves his sisters and their families, Sandra and Thomas Carpenter of Rutland, Vermont, Robbie and Ken Neil of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Marybeth and Paul Krauss of Otter River; his brothers and their families, Joe and Maria Moulton of Ossipee, New Hampshire, and Scott Whitney of Florida. Gary proudly served in the United States Navy and National Guard. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, sports and shooting darts for the Gardner American Legion. There will be no calling hours. In 2010 on a day and time to be announced, the family will have a memorial at the Gardner American Legion to celebrate his life with pictures and stories. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to his widow, Sheila Whitney at the GFA Credit Union, Pearson Blvd., Gardner, MA 01440. Forever in our hearts! $(document).ready(function(){ });
